LPG
Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), also Liquefied petroleum gas (Russian liquefied petroleum gas; English LPG (liquefied petroleum gas); German verflüssigtes Erdölbegleitgas) — cleaned and prepared petroleum gas, converted under the influence of high pressure into a liquid state (mainly propane and butane) to facilitate storage and transportation. Also often called liquefied hydrocarbon gas.
It consists mainly of heavy gases propane and butane and a small amount (about 1 %) of unsaturated hydrocarbons. Gases are stored in this form at oil and gas processing enterprises; used in everyday life for heating, water heating and cooking; and on road transport — as fuel.
