Recently there has been a lot of discussion about problems with AdBlue. But what is AdBlue and most importantly: how to avoid problems? In this article, we will tell you everything you need to know so that you can continue to use AdBlue safely.

AdBlue: an additive for modern diesel cars

AdBlue is added to the fuel of modern diesel vehicles equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. When AdBlue is injected into the catalytic converter, it converts harmful NOx emissions into harmless nitrogen and water vapor. Its main purpose is to reduce harmful emissions, which means that AdBlue has a positive effect on the environment (allows to obtain the Euro 6 emissions standard). As an added bonus, AdBlue can also improve engine performance. However, despite its many advantages, AdBlue still has some potential disadvantages. But don't worry—there's a simple solution for everyone.

Four typical problems with AdBlue

  • The first problem is the easiest to avoid: insufficient AdBlue level. The Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system cannot function properly if there is not enough additive in the system. Regularly checking your AdBlue level (or having it checked by a professional) is the easiest way to prevent this. Some (French) engines automatically warn of problems with the AdBlue level, so it is important to monitor this.
  • The second possible problem contaminated AdBlue, which can potentially damage or clog the catalytic converter itself. But additive, which we will discuss shortly, can easily solve this problem.
  • AdBlue additive quality is a potential third problem. It is very important that AdBlue matches the characteristics of your engine. Using a substandard product can potentially lead to serious engine malfunctions. If you always follow the manufacturer's recommendations and use only high-quality adblue, everything is great!
  • The fourth and final potential problem is related to everything improper storage or exposure to extreme temperatures. Both of these can lead to a change in composition AdBlue and reduce its effectiveness.

What will happen if you don't worry about Adblue

…it may be necessary to replace or repair the diesel engine. Even a simple replacement of the AdBlue tank costs more than 1,000 euros, which is an unnecessarily expensive ordeal.

That's why we at Xenum have developed Admax: an innovative additive that not only protects but also improves the efficiency of AdBlue.

Just add the product Admax into the AdBlue tank to significantly increase efficiency AdBlue. The advanced formula prevents the formation of crystals in the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system and protects the nozzles from contamination. Besides, Admax helps to protect and maintain the performance of AdBlue during storage.

Admax offers a perfect solution to the problems we mentioned above. It also extends the life of your Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system, so Admax worth every penny.
