Oil tolerances from General Motors

The GM Dexos 2 specification is intended to replace the GM-LL-A-025 (petrol) and GM-LL-B-025 (diesel) specifications for the European market. GM Dexos 2 compliant oils are required for vehicles manufactured from 2011 onwards, but are also compatible with older models. This specification is based on ACEA C3, but also includes elements from the ILSAC GF-4 deposit and low temperature deposit tests.

The dexos2 ™ specification was introduced for light-duty diesel vehicles of the 2010 model year and replaced the previous specifications GM-LL-B-025 and GM-LL-А-025. Dexos2 ™ can also be used for service refueling of spark-ignition gasoline engines in European cars.
