Oils that meet the requirements of CATERPILLAR ECF-2

The specification defines additional requirements for diesel engine oils that also meet the specifications API CI-4 / CI-4 Plus. CAT ECF-2 is recommended for all 2006 and older on-road diesel vehicles, as well as CAT 3500 series models.

CAT ECF-2 specification oils are not suitable for engines equipped with diesel particulate filters (DPF).
