ACEA B4

ACEA B4 is a high‑performance di‑ester standard developed by the European Association of Automotive Engine Manufacturers for heavy‑duty diesel units that operate under high load, have turbocharging and are often used in trucks and passenger vehicles with high mileage. Technically, the specification requires oxidation stability, excellent wear protection and cylinder cleanliness, as well as compatibility with exhaust after‑treatment systems, including DPF and catalysts, without the need for reduced SAPS. Oils meeting ACEA B4 provide a long‑lasting protective film, reduce the risk of soot deposits and maintain optimal turbocharger operation even at high temperatures.
