TECHNOLOGIES XENUM

NEXGEN™

Xenum has developed a special technology for diesel additives called NEXGEN™. Our NEXGEN ™ fuel additives are based on nanoparticles of cerium oxide, a known oxidation catalyst that improves combustion in diesel engines.

Nanoparticles

Solid lubricants are able to provide improved lubrication at higher temperatures compared to traditional oil-based lubricants. Dry lubricants provide low friction due to their layered structure with weak bonds.

NEXGEN TECHNOLOGY

Xenum has developed a very unique diesel additive technology called NEXGEN™. NEXGEN™ fuel additives are formulated with nanoparticles of cerium oxide, a known oxidation catalyst that helps improve combustion in diesel engines. The cerium oxide particles in NEXGEN™ are 10 nanometers in size. Thus, they have a large surface area, which makes them an extremely effective catalyst; even very low concentrations of NEXGEN™ provide maximum oxidation power and performance.

ADVANTAGES

The catalytic effect of NEXGEN™ additives provides incredible advantages in modern diesel engines; allows you to burn fuel more efficiently and without residues. Even particles of soot (unburned fuel) are oxidized (burned) and converted into energy. Better combustion and greater engine efficiency results in lower harmful emissions:

  • Carbon Dioxide (CO2): Every kilogram of fuel saved is directly related to fuel consumption and reduces CO2 emissions.
  • Residual fuel: observed decrease to 18%.
  • Hydrocarbons (HC): A decrease to 13% is observed.
  • Carbon Monoxide (CO): A decrease to 6% is observed.

NEXGEN™ reduces and eliminates existing carbon deposits. In this way, it prevents the further accumulation of additional carbon deposits, especially where they collect: the diesel particulate filter (DPF), as well as on the cylinder head, piston bottoms and turbine fins.

Higher concentrations of NEXGEN are used to thoroughly clean the DPF and turbine blades. Our famous IN & OUT Cleaner demonstrates exceptional effectiveness in this context.

CERAMIC NANOPARTICLES

Xenum developed the concept of ceramic composite technology: ceramic or hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) particles dispersed in essential oil.

ADVANTAGES

The combination of the exceptional lubricating properties of hBN and essential oils results in a product that is unmatched in performance. The polar properties of essential oils not only improve lubrication through a strong oil film, but also keep hBN microparticles in suspension.

The ceramic composite additives used in VX500 and our ceramic oils significantly reduce friction and wear on engine parts.

Allows you to get an increase in power, reduce fuel consumption, reduce the amount of pollution, get less CO2 emissions and longer operation of the car. This technology is very suitable for high performance and competitive applications as well as industrial equipment.

The hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) particles used in Xenum lubricants are extremely small (0.25 µm) and do not clog filters or coagulate.

Cerflon® TECHNOLOGY

Cerflon® is a ceramic-reinforced fluoropolymer (PTFE) formed when boron nitride, which is stronger and harder, is incorporated into a fluoropolymer (PTFE) matrix to strengthen the polymer.

This additive significantly increases durability and wear resistance. Cerflon® is a patented technology.

ESTERS TECHNOLOGY

Oils with esters are a synthetic product. Three main types of synthetic bases are usually used in synthetic oils:

  • POLY Alpha Olefins (PAO): the most popular and widely used component of synthetic and semi-synthetic oils. PAOs have very good resistance to high temperatures and low volatility.
  • HYDRO CRACKED (HC) BASE: It is not actually a synthetic product, but a mineral oil that has been hydrotreated for synthetic "performance". HC is a good lubricant but is more volatile than PAO.
  • ESSENTIAL OILS:  they have been used in lubrication for more than 60 years as the primary base oil for many applications. Their properties solve problems and provide a significant improvement in lubricating products. In the automotive industry, the first synthetic motor oils were actually based entirely on esters, and these products were very successful.

Polar molecules

Ester molecules can be very polar. This means that they have an electrostatic charge, which is the result of opposite charges. The polarity of the oil depends on some interesting properties:

  • Lubricating ability

The polarity of ether molecules causes their attraction to each other. This intermolecular attraction requires more energy (heat) for the esters to change from liquid to gas (evaporation). As a result, the oil helps preserve the viscosity and quality of the product longer. In addition, the consumption of oil for evaporation is reduced.

  • Detergent and dispersive properties

The polar nature of esters makes them good solvents and dispersing agents. This allows the esters to dissolve and disperse impurities such as combustion residues and produced oil, by-products that might otherwise form sludge or varnish deposits. These properties provide cleaner operation and improve the solubility of the additive in the final lubricant. The result will be cleaner engines or transmission systems.
