15W-40

The 15W‑40 designation according to the SAE J300 standard indicates a cold viscosity of 15 (W) and a density at 100 °C of 40, providing stable engine oil performance across a wide temperature range, including cold winter weather and high temperatures under load. This viscosity is traditionally used in powerful gasoline and, primarily, heavy‑duty diesel engines of trucks, agricultural machinery and fleets, where long‑lasting wear and oxidation protection is required. 15W‑40 oils are often formulated with the requirements of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems and diesel particulate filters (DPF) in mind, so they may have a low SAPS content, but specific compatibility should be verified in the product’s technical specifications. The XENUM catalog features two products — DIESEL POWER 15W40 E7 and DIESEL POWER 15W40 E9/E11 — which meet these requirements and are suitable for the engines listed in manufacturers’ recommendations. Choosing oil by SAE grade ensures proper cylinder‑block protection, stable viscosity under various loads, and compliance with modern environmental standards.
