Motor oils with the specification SAE 0W30
The number of fans of all-season motor oils is growing every year. And it is explained simply - universal oil saves motorists from the unnecessary headache of pouring oil from the same marking under the hood all year round.
Deciphering oils with specifications 0w30 allows you to determine the range of operating temperatures and viscosity during vehicle maintenance.
The International SAE standard allows you to recognize all-season products:
- if the marking includes a number and the English letter w - 0w, 5w, 10w, 15w - this is winter oil. And it can be used at temperatures below zero degrees Celsius. In positive weather, such a liquid will lose its properties and begin to flow from the parts, which, in turn, will lead to a lack of oil.
- if the labeling contains a two-digit number (10, 20, 30) without a letter designation, then it is an all-season oil. At high temperatures, it will reliably protect the system's mechanisms from wear, providing them with the required degree of cooling. But in the winter season, the oil will begin to thicken and solidify, improving performance.
- if the two types of liquids described above are present in the labeling, it means that the product can be used throughout the year.
Motor oil 0w30 retains its properties at any temperature: its temperature range is from -40 to +35 degrees Celsius
