ZF TE-ML 17B

Specification ZF TE‑ML 17B is ZF Friedrichshafen AG’s requirement for synthetic transmission oils intended for high‑class automatic gearboxes. Oil that meets TE‑ML 17B must have a viscosity range of 75 W‑90/75 W‑140, provide stability at temperatures from –40 °C to +120 °C, high protection against wear, oxidation and corrosion, and also a low coefficient of friction for smooth operation of hydraulic systems and planetary gears. The specification is targeted at ZF 8HP (45, 70, 90), 6HP and 5HP automatic transmissions installed in passenger cars, commercial and heavy‑duty vehicles, including engines with catalytic converters and DPF systems, where compatibility with soot filter regeneration is important. XENUM X‑TRAN 75W90 GL‑4/5, X‑TRAN 75W90 GL‑5 and XT‑PRO 75W140 oils fully comply with this approval and also remain compatible with older ZF TE‑ML 02B, 02F and 03D requirements, allowing safe use in upgraded gearboxes without additional modifications.
