ZF TE-ML 11A

The ZF TE‑ML 11A specification defines the requirements for transmission lubricants for ZF manual gearboxes, primarily intended for commercial trucks, buses and heavy special equipment. Technically it requires stable viscosity over a wide temperature range (from –40 °C to +120 °C), high resistance to oxidation and wear, as well as a special friction profile that ensures smooth operation of synchronizers and prevents their premature failure. Oil that meets TE‑ML 11A is suitable for ZF 5HP, 6HP, 8HP and similar transmissions installed in diesel and gasoline engines, and does not contain additives that harm particulate filters or catalysts. Using a lubricant with this approval guarantees compliance with OEM recommendations, optimal torque transmission and extended gearbox service life.
