ZF TE-ML 11

Specification ZF TE‑ML 11 is ZF Friedrichshafen’s requirement for transmission lubricants, intended for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles with manual gearboxes. It calls for a synthetic oil with high thermal resistance, stability under high torque, and special friction modifiers that ensure smooth operation of synchronizers and minimize gear wear in a temperature range from –40 °C to +120 °C. ZF TE‑ML 11 meets endurance tests up to 250 N·m and is compatible with transmissions of the 4HP, 5HP, 6HP series, as well as newer models that adopt this approval as a baseline. Oils bearing this marking are suitable for both gasoline and diesel engines, including vehicles with catalytic converters, without risk of damaging the emission system.
