ZF TE-ML 05B

Specification ZF TE‑ML 05B defines the requirements for lubricants for manual gearboxes, in particular for series 4HP, 5HP and 6HP, which are installed in passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. Oil that complies with TE‑ML 05B must have a viscosity of 75 W‑90 (or 75 W‑140 in case of increased loads), provide high thermal stability, oxidation resistance and effective protection against wear of gear teeth and synchronizers thanks to the presence of EP additives. The specification does not impose restrictions on SAPS, therefore such lubricants can be safely used in engines without particulate filters and do not affect catalyst operation. XENUM products X‑TRAN 75W90 GL4/5, X‑TRAN 75W90 GL5, XT‑PRO 75W140 and XA‑TRAN DX IIIH have successfully passed testing under TE‑ML 05B and are recommended as replacements for original ZF oils.
