ZF 6HP

The ZF 6HP specification is ZF Friedrichshafen AG’s requirement for transmission oils intended for 6‑speed automatic gearboxes of the 6HP series, which are installed in passenger cars and light commercial vehicles with gasoline and diesel engines up to 2.5 L displacement. Oil that meets ZF 6HP must provide a stable viscosity in the range of 7.5‑9.5 cSt at 100 °C, high thermal stability and oxidation protection, as well as effective lubrication of friction elements, reducing wear of gear wheels and hydraulic valves. The specification includes compatibility with diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration systems, as it is free of sulfate, phosphorus and silicon additives (SAPS‑free). XENUM products such as XA‑TRAN 8G, M14 and M17 have been tested to ZF 6HP and guarantee long‑lasting gearbox operation without loss of efficiency. Using oil approved to ZF 6HP allows compliance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, reduces the risk of overheating and extends transmission life.
