The VW G 052 055 specification is a Volkswagen Group requirement for synthetic motor oils, developed specifically for gasoline engines with direct injection (TSI, EA888, EA211, etc.) and high torque. An oil that meets this standard has a low SAPS content (sulfated, aromatic and phosphorus compounds), providing optimal protection for three‑way catalysts and new gasoline particulate filters (GPF), and also minimizes deposit formation in the combustion chamber. Technical requirements include high‑temperature stability, excellent micro‑ and macro‑dispersibility, as well as reduced fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions. This approval is suitable for engines up to 2.0 L, including Audi, Škoda, SEAT and Volkswagen models that run on gasoline with direct injection, and is compatible with OEM recommendations for catalyst and GPF protection.
