VW 504 00

VW 504 00 is a modern engine oil specification developed for gasoline engines of the Volkswagen Group with direct fuel injection. It requires a low SAPS (sulfated, aromatic and phosphorus compounds) content, which ensures long‑lasting catalyst operation and meets Euro‑6 requirements, and also guarantees stable protection against wear, oxidation and deposits at high temperatures. The specification is targeted at gasoline power units of VAG platforms, including 1.0‑TSI, 1.5‑TSI, 2.0‑TSI and their turbocharged variants, as well as certain hybrid models that require 5W‑30/5W‑40 synthetic oils. VW 504 00 is compatible with the previous VW 502 00 specification, so products marked with this newer standard safely replace oils meeting the older requirements while preserving optimal engine performance and environmental protection.
