VOITH Retarder Oil Class B – is a technical approval issued by the German manufacturer Voith Turbo GmbH for hydraulic retarder systems of heavy vehicles. It defines the requirements for viscosity, thermal stability and wear protection, providing stable torque transmission and effective braking under high loads and prolonged operating cycles. The specification is targeted at diesel trucks, buses and special equipment, which are often equipped with DPF systems, therefore oils that meet class B are compatible with catalytic filters and do not increase the content of sulfate, aromatic and phosphorus compounds (SAPS).
