Toyota Type T

Toyota Type T – is an official transmission oil specification developed by Toyota Corporation for traditional automatic transmissions (AT) with hydraulic control, installed in passenger and commercial models with gasoline and hybrid engines. The specification requires stable viscosity from –40 °C to +125 °C, high thermal resistance and controlled friction properties that ensure smooth gear shifts, gear protection from wear and prevention of overheating under high loads. Oils that meet Toyota Type T must be compatible with oil filters and seals, not compromising system tightness and not affecting the operation of the torque converter.
