Toyota T-II

Toyota T‑II is the official specification for ATF Type T‑II transmission lubricants, developed by Toyota Corporation to ensure stable operation of automatic, continuously variable (CVT) and dual‑clutch (DCT) gearboxes in the brand’s passenger and commercial models. Technically it requires a certain viscosity range, high thermal resistance and controlled friction characteristics, which guarantee smooth gear shifts, protection of gears from wear and prevention of overheating under high loads. The specification is targeted at gasoline, hybrid and diesel Toyota engines that use automatic transmissions, including newer models with electronic control.
