Specification Toyota FE is the official transmission oil standard developed by Toyota Corporation for the seamless operation of automatic continuously variable (CVT) gearboxes installed in the brand’s passenger and hybrid models. The fluid meets strict viscosity requirements at 40 °C and 100 °C, provides a stable friction coefficient, high thermal resistance and oxidation protection, which prevents overheating and excessive wear of gears and the drive belt. The specification ensures compatibility with metal and polymer CVT components, including filters and thrust elements, and guarantees safe operation under high loads and frequent speed changes typical of gasoline and hybrid engines. XENUM XA‑TRAN CVT transmission oil, marked as “Toyota FE”, undergoes laboratory testing according to this standard and delivers durability and smooth shifting without risk of damaging the DPF or catalyst, as these systems are not part of the CVT.
