Toyota ATF Type T‑III – official transmission oil specification developed by Toyota Motor Corporation for automatic gearboxes, including conventional AT, robotic (CVT) and dual‑clutch (DCT) in passenger and commercial models. Requirements include stable viscosity in the range from –40 °C to +120 °C, high thermal resistance, protection against oxidation and gear wear, as well as compatibility with electronic valves and filters, ensuring smooth and rapid gear shifts without slip. ATF T‑III is intended primarily for gasoline and hybrid Toyota engines that use transmissions of type Aisin A340, A650 and new DCT models, where effective torque transfer is required. XENUM oils that meet this approval (XA‑TRAN NIPPON ATF, XA‑TRAN DX VI, XA‑TRAN UNI) undergo laboratory testing to Toyota standards, guaranteeing protection against overheating, noise reduction and extended transmission service life.
