SUBARU iCVT FG

The SUBARU iCVT FG specification is an OEM approval developed by Subaru Motor Corp. for transmission lubricants used in intelligent continuously variable transmissions (iCVT) with increased load capacity. It requires stable viscosity across a wide temperature range, high resistance to oxidation and thermal degradation, as well as a special friction formulation that provides smooth engagement and protects metal friction elements from excessive wear. iCVT FG is intended for Subaru gasoline and diesel engines installed in models with CVT‑LB, ECVT, Lineartronic and their high‑torque variants, including chain drives.
