The HP requirements are focused on transmissions operating in a temperature range up to 120 °C, providing stable viscosity, rapid cooling and protection against oxidation, adhesion and wear under high load. The specification applies to Subaru gasoline and diesel engines, in particular models with CVT‑LV, ECVT, iCVT, Lineartronic and chain‑type variants, where high torque transfer and long‑lasting operation under intensive use are required.
