RENAULT VI RXD

The Renault VI RXD specification combines the requirements of Renault VI for gasoline engines and Renault RXD for diesel power units, providing versatility across a wide range of Renault models. For gasoline engines, a viscosity of 5 W‑40 is specified, meeting API SN/CF, ACEA A3/B4 and offering protection against wear, oxidation and corrosion, suitable for Clio, Megane, Scenic engines and their updated variants. The diesel RXD portion requires low SAPS content, limited residual ash and compatibility with particulate filters (DPF) and catalysts, making it suitable for 1.5 dCi, 2.0 dCi and similar engines with emission cleaning systems. Oils that meet this approval guarantee stable performance over a wide temperature range, preserve engine life and reduce the risk of DPF clogging. If your vehicle already supports older Renault VI or RXD approvals, the new products with this marking remain backward compatible, providing the same level of protection without the need to change technical specifications.
