RENAULT RXD

Renault RXD specification – an OEM approval developed by the French Renault Group for engine oils intended exclusively for their diesel power units in passenger and commercial vehicles. Technically, RXD requires a base viscosity that corresponds to SAE 5W‑30 or 10W‑40, high wear protection, high‑temperature stability and low SAPS content, which ensures compatibility with diesel particulate filter (DPF) systems and catalysts, reducing the risk of their fouling. Oil that meets RXD is suitable for Renault K‑type, D‑type and new Ecoboost diesel engines, as well as for models that operate under the E4‑E11 requirements. At the same time it retains full backward compatibility with previous Renault approvals RD‑2 and RLD‑2, allowing safe use in older engine versions without compromising warranty requirements.
