Renault RN0720 specification – an OEM approval developed by Renault Group for gasoline engines with direct injection and turbocharging that require high thermal resistance and protection against deposit buildup. RN0720 calls for a viscosity of 5W‑30, meets ACEA A5/B5 and API SN/CF requirements, and features a low SAPS content, ensuring safe operation of three‑way catalysts without increased load on the emissions system. This specification is suitable for a wide range of Renault, Dacia and Alpine models, including Clio, Megane, Captur and newer engines with “Eco‑Boost”/“Turbo” technology. Oils that meet RN0720 guarantee a stable lubricating film at high temperatures, wear protection and reduced fuel consumption, extending engine life and decreasing service intervals.
