Renault EDC

The Renault EDC specification is an OEM approval developed by Renault Group for transmission oils used in their automatic gearboxes, including 6‑speed EDC, CVT and Powershift. An oil that meets this standard must provide stable viscosity across a wide temperature range, high thermal resistance and controlled friction, ensuring smooth gear shifts and protecting clutches from excessive wear. Technical requirements include low microscopic abrasiveness, oxidation resistance and compatibility with electronic sensors and valves of the transmission control system. The specification is targeted at Renault gasoline and diesel engines that operate through an automatic transmission, including models such as Clio, Megane, Scenic, Koleos and others, as well as other brands that use similar transmissions. When selecting oil on xenum.ua, products marked Renault EDC (for example XENUM XA‑TRAN CVT or XT‑POWERSHIFT) provide full compatibility without risk of damaging the DPF or catalyst, as they do not contain high levels of SAPS.
