Renault DC4

Renault DC4 specification – an OEM approval for automatic transmission fluids, developed by Renault Group taking into account viscosity, thermal stability and friction characteristics requirements. Fluid that meets DC4 provides smooth gear shifts, protects gears, bearings and friction discs from wear and oxidation, and also supports proper operation of valve blocks and hydraulic systems. This standard is applied in gasoline and diesel passenger Renault models with conventional 4‑, 5‑ and 6‑speed automatics, including Clio, Megane, Scenic and Kangoo, as well as some light commercial vehicles. Using oil approved under DC4 guarantees stable torque transmission, prevents overheating and extends transmission life without the need for special additives for particulate filters or catalysts.
