PSA 9734 S2

The PSA 9734 S2 specification defines the requirements for transmission fluids intended for automatic gearboxes, including traditional 4‑6‑speed ATs, 7‑speed DCTs and new 8‑speed transmissions installed in passenger models of Peugeot, Citroën, DS and their crossovers. Technically, PSA 9734 S2 requires stable viscosity at –40 °C (robust cold start) and retention of high viscosity up to +120 °C, ensuring smooth clutch engagement, rapid torque converter lock‑up and protection against overheating under high torque. The fluid must exhibit low wear of friction elements, high oxidation resistance and compatibility with seals and gaskets used in PSA, and must not contain sulfate additives, allowing safe operation with catalysts and DPF systems in diesel engines.
