PSA 9730 A8

Specification PSA 9730 A8 is the approval of the French automotive group PSA (Stellantis) for transmission lubricants intended exclusively for manual gearboxes. The PSA 9730 A8 requirements provide high thermal resistance, viscosity stability from –40 °C to +120 °C, protection of synchronizers and gear wheels from wear and corrosion, as well as low tendency to form deposits, ensuring long‑lasting operation without overheating. This standard applies to most gasoline and diesel models of Peugeot, Citroën, DS and other Stellantis vehicles equipped with 5‑speed, 6‑speed and 7‑speed manual transmissions, including engines with DPF systems, because the oil contains no sulfate additives that could damage the catalyst.
