Porsche C30

Porsche C30 is the official Porsche AG specification for engine oils, developed for high‑performance gasoline engines of the 911, Cayman, Boxster models and their turbocharged direct‑injection variants. The requirement calls for a viscosity of 5W‑30, a wear index of at least 150, stability at temperatures up to 150 °C and high oxidative resistance, protecting piston rings, cylinders and bearings under high load. Oils approved to C30 have a low SAPS content, ensuring safe operation of catalytic converters, although DPF compatibility is not mandatory, as the specification is aimed exclusively at gasoline power units. While the newer Porsche C40 offers expanded requirements, C30 remains fully backward compatible with engines that previously required Porsche C20 or C30, so it can be used without affecting warranty obligations.
