The OPEL GM‑LL‑B‑025 specification is an OEM approval developed jointly by Opel and General Motors for a wide range of gasoline and diesel engines, including turbocharged units with a displacement of 1.0‑2.5 L and heavy‑duty models. The oil requirements call for a stable viscosity in the 5W‑40 range, high oxidation resistance, wear protection and deposit control, as well as compatibility with after‑treatment cleaning systems (DPF, catalysts). Oils that meet GM‑LL‑B‑025 provide optimal engine performance, reduce fuel consumption and extend service life without voiding the manufacturer’s warranty.
