The VAG G‑052‑162 specification is a technical standard of the Volkswagen Group for automatic transmissions, including DSG‑6, DSG‑7 and other multi‑speed gearboxes used in passenger cars from VW, Audi, Škoda and Seat with gasoline and diesel engines. The requirements specify a minimum viscosity of 5W‑30/5W‑40, high‑temperature stability, controlled friction for smooth shifting, protection against wear and oxidation, and compatibility with seals and clutch‑disc materials. Compliance with these parameters guarantees long‑lasting transmission operation without overheating or loss of efficiency. XENUM products XA‑TRAN M14, XA‑TRAN DX VI and XA‑TRAN UNI successfully pass testing according to VAG G‑052‑162, so they can be safely used in the listed gearboxes, including models with electronic control and adaptive modes. Although the specification is aimed at new DSGs, it is also compatible with older transmissions that previously required VW G‑052‑162/163 approval, allowing our oils to be used as direct replacements.
