Oils that meet this approval must have a low content of combustion residues, high lubricating capability at very high RPMs (up to 15 000 rev/min) and effective dissolution of carbon deposits, providing a clean combustion chamber and minimizing the risk of piston seizure. Such lubricants are intended exclusively for Rotax Max two‑stroke engines used in karting, micro‑motorcycles and light throttle‑less units. They are compatible with after‑burner systems, if installed, thanks to a low metal‑ash content (low‑ash) that does not harm catalysts.
