The MIL‑L‑2105E specification is a U.S. military standard for hydraulic lubricants that sets requirements for viscosity (no less than 12 cSt at –40 °C and no more than 30 cSt at 100 °C), high oxidation resistance, corrosion protection, low foaming, and the ability to operate under extreme temperatures and loads. It is intended for hydraulic systems of military aircraft, ground equipment, as well as heavy vehicles and transmissions that require stable operation under high pressure and harsh climatic conditions.
