KIA SP-III

The KIA SP‑III specification is a technical approval developed by the Korean conglomerate Kia for new gasoline and light‑diesel engines that operate over a wide temperature range. Oil that meets SP‑III must comply with API SN/CF, ACEA A5/B5 requirements, have a viscosity of 5W‑30 or 5W‑40, provide low wear, deposit control and high‑temperature stability, as well as support fuel economy and service intervals up to 10 000 km.
