JASO Type 1A

JASO Type 1A is a standard developed by the Japanese Association of Standardization of Motor Oils (JASO) for two‑stroke gasoline engines that operate without catalytic systems. The specification requires a minimum level of wear, stable viscosity over a wide temperature range, high detergency and foam control, ensuring effective lubrication of piston rings, cylinders and camshaft sleeves. Oils that meet JASO 1A are intended for motorcycles, scooters, small garden and marine two‑stroke units where post‑catalytic cleaning systems (DPF or catalytic converter) are not used. Thanks to this approval you get protection against excessive wear and deposits, extending engine life and reducing fuel consumption. In the XENUM catalog this specification is represented by a single transmission oil that meets the JASO 1A requirements.
