JASO M315-2013 1A

JASO M315‑2013 1A is a Japanese standard that defines the requirements for transmission oils for automatic gearboxes, including CVT and DCT, used in motorcycles, scooters and some passenger cars with automatics. The specification sets a viscosity range at 40 °C (≈2.5 cSt) and 100 °C (≈9.0 cSt), stability of friction properties, protection against wear, oxidation and foaming, as well as requirements for compatibility with friction disc and gear materials. Oils that meet JASO M315‑2013 1A provide smooth gear shifts, prevent overheating and wear of friction elements in transmissions operating over a wide range of temperatures and loads. This standard does not impose restrictions regarding SAPS, DPF or catalytic systems, so it can be safely used in engines that do not require special protection of after‑catalyst components. In the XENUM catalog there is the transmission oil XA‑TRAN DX VI, which has JASO M315‑2013 1A approval and is suitable as a replacement for old ATF, maintaining compatibility with previous models that required JASO M315‑1A.
