JASO M 315-2013 Type 1a

JASO M 315‑2013 Type 1a is a Japanese standard that defines the requirements for transmission oils for automatic gearboxes, particularly for motorcycles, scooters and some passenger cars that use a wet (oil‑immersed) clutch. The specification calls for stable viscosity in the range of 20‑150 °C, high resistance to oxidation and wear, as well as precisely defined friction parameters that ensure smooth engagement of clutch plates without premature wear. Oils that meet JASO M 315‑2013 Type 1a must have low tendency to form deposits, good compatibility with seals and gaskets, and provide protection against corrosion of internal transmission components. In our catalog this approval is represented, for example, by the transmission oil XENUM XA‑TRAN NIPPON ATF, which is perfectly suited for automatic gearboxes of motorcycles and scooters, meeting all technical requirements of JASO M 315‑2013 Type 1a.
