EURO 2

The EURO 2 designation indicates that the oil meets the requirements of the European emission standard that was in force from 1996‑2000 for gasoline and diesel engines. Technically this means that the oil has a low sulfur compound content (no more than 0.15 % S), provides stable viscosity at high temperatures and protects metal parts from oxidation, corrosion and wear, which is especially important for turbocharged engines. The standard is aimed at passenger cars, commercial vans, trucks and other equipment that was designed to operate under the Euro 2 regulation, including older diesel blocks without modern DPF‑systems. Since the requirements for SAPS and catalytic elements in this standard are minimal, the oil is suitable for engines without after‑catalyst filters and also safe for use in systems running on fuel with low sulfur additive content.
