Dexron IIIH

Specification Dexron IIIH is the official General Motors approval for automatic transmissions, defining requirements for viscosity, thermal stability, friction characteristics and wear protection. Oil that meets Dexron IIIH has a base viscosity of SAE 5W‑30 – 5W‑40, high oxidation resistance, a controlled level of anti‑corrosion and anti‑wear additives, as well as special friction modifiers that provide smooth torque transfer over a wide temperature range. This specification is primarily intended for GM automatic gearboxes (e.g., 4L60‑E, 6L80, 6L90) and compatible transmissions from other manufacturers that list Dexron IIIH in their technical documentation.
