Dexron IIE

The Dexron IIE specification is the official General Motors approval for automatic transmissions, developed in the 1990s and targeted at 4‑speed and 5‑speed AT gearboxes, including the 4L30‑E, 4L60‑E, 4L80‑E transmissions and their variants installed in passenger, off‑road and commercial GM vehicles, as well as in some models of other brands that use GM‑compatible transmissions. Dexron IIE requires a certain level of viscosity, oxidation resistance and wear protection, providing stable hydraulic action, preventing overheating and maintaining the proper level of friction characteristics over a temperature range from –40 °C to +120 °C. Because this specification does not include low‑SAP (SAPS) additives and is not designed for systems with DPF or a catalyst, it is suitable only for traditional automatic gearboxes without post‑catalytic requirements. In our catalog, Dexron IIE is represented, in particular, by the transmission oil XENUM XA‑TRAN DX IIIH, which meets all the requirements of this approval and simultaneously complies with the newer Dexron IIIF standards, allowing safe use in older and upgraded transmissions.
