ALLISON TES 389

ALLISON TES‑389 is a technical approval developed by Allison Transmission for automatic hydraulic gearboxes of heavy commercial vehicles. It defines the requirements for viscosity, thermal stability, oxidation resistance and wear protection, ensuring stable torque transmission, smooth gear shifting and long‑lasting operation under high loads. The specification is targeted at the 2500, 3000 and 4000 series transmissions installed in trucks, buses and special equipment, including electronically controlled models. Lubricants that meet TES‑389 have a low content of sulfate, aromatic and phosphorus compounds (SAPS), allowing them to be safely used in systems with a catalyst and DPF without risk of contamination. When selecting XENUM oil, such as XA‑TRAN DX IIIH or XA‑TRAN UNI, you receive a product that has been tested to this standard and provides optimal protection for the transmission and its post‑catalyst components.
