Mitsubishi J3

The Mitsubishi J3 specification is an official engine oil standard developed by Mitsubishi Motors for gasoline and diesel engines of passenger and commercial vehicles, including turbocharged units. Technically, J3 requires high thermal stability, viscosity stability at 100 °C, effective wear and corrosion protection, as well as an adequate level of detergents that prevent carbon deposits in the combustion chamber. The specification provides compatibility with catalysts and diesel particulate filter (DPF) systems, because the formula has a low SAPS content, allowing the efficiency of after‑treatment devices to be maintained. J3 is suitable for Mitsubishi Outlander, Lancer, Pajero, ASX engines and their diesel variants, as well as for other brands that adopt this standard.
