Mazda F-1
The Mazda F‑1 specification is the official approval from Mazda Motor Corporation for engine oils intended exclusively for the gasoline engines of its lineup, including 4‑cylinder and V‑6 units installed in Mazda 3, 6, CX‑5 models and earlier series up to 2015. The technical requirement calls for high oxidation resistance, wear protection under high load, and viscosity retention at temperatures up to 150 °C, which ensures stable operation under various operating conditions and reduces fuel consumption. An oil that meets Mazda F‑1 must meet the minimum API SN/CF and ILSAC GF‑5 specifications, and also have a low content of sulfate, aromatic and phosphorus compounds (SAPS), making it compatible with catalytic converters, but it does not require special support for a diesel particulate filter (DPF) system. When selecting a product in the XENUM catalog, simply use the “Mazda” filter – for example, the transmission oil XA‑TRAN DX VI, marked as Mazda F‑1, will provide engine protection without risking warranty loss. If your vehicle is already running on oil that complies with older Mazda F‑1, new products approved under the same standard remain fully backward compatible.
