Mazda ATF S-1
The Mazda ATF S‑1 specification is Mazda Motor Corporation’s requirement for transmission fluid intended for automatic transmissions (AT) with electronic control, installed in Mazda models from 2000‑2005, such as the Mazda 6, CX‑7, MX‑5 and others. The fluid must meet viscosity requirements (model SAE VG‑100), oxidation resistance, wear protection, and maintain precise operation of hydraulic valves at temperatures up to 120 °C. Mazda ATF S‑1 provides stable torque transfer, prevents deposit formation on friction elements, and supports optimal transmission cooling system performance, which is especially important during intensive driving. Although this specification does not impose special SAPS or DPF requirements, it is compatible with newer Mazda ATF M‑III and M‑V approvals, allowing safe use of them when switching to an improved formula without voiding the warranty. Choosing XENUM XA‑TRAN DX VI transmission oil, labeled as Mazda ATF S‑1, guarantees compliance with all Mazda technical requirements and long‑term reliability of your transmission.
