MAN approval M3275‑1 defines the requirements for engine oils intended for modern MAN medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines, in particular the D08, D20, D26 series and their turbocharged variants, installed in trucks, buses and special equipment. Oil that complies with M3275‑1 must provide a minimum viscosity of 15 W‑40, high resistance to oxidation and wear, as well as effective cylinder protection across a wide range of temperatures and loads.
