MAN M 3275

MAN M 3275 approval is a technical standard developed by the German commercial vehicle manufacturer MAN for engine oils used in their medium‑ and heavy‑duty diesel engines. Oil that meets M 3275 provides cylinder protection under high loads, stable viscosity over a wide temperature range, and reduced content of sulfate, aromatic and phosphorus compounds (SAPS), allowing safe operation with after‑treatment systems (DPF) and catalysts. The specification is targeted at MAN TGL, TGM, TGX, L2000 engines and other diesel units with displacements from 5.9 L to 12.4 L, including models with turbocharging and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems. Using oil approved to MAN M 3275 guarantees long‑lasting cylinder cleanliness, minimal valve deposits and stable injection system performance, which is especially important for trucks, buses and heavy tractors in harsh operating conditions.
