Specification JLR LR023288 is an internal approval by Jaguar Land Rover that defines the requirements for synthetic motor oils for their gasoline and diesel engines, including turbocharged units and hybrid systems. Oil that complies with LR023288 must have a viscosity of 5W‑30 (or 0W‑40 in case of elevated temperatures), provide minimum wear resistance according to ISO‑VG‑30, high oxidation stability, protection of ceramic coatings, and low SAPS content, making it compatible with DPF systems and catalysts. This standard is targeted at engines of Jaguar XE, XF, F‑TYPE, Land Rover Discovery, Range Rover Sport and newer hybrid models, where long service intervals and stable operation at high temperatures are important.
