JASO MAZDA (DPF & FAP)

JASO MAZDA (DPF & FAP) is a Mazda‑specific standard within the JASO system, developed for engines equipped with diesel particulate filters (DPF) and FAP systems. Technically it sets low limits for SAPS (sulfated ash, phosphorus, sulfur), which prevents rapid DPF clogging and protects the catalyst, while providing sufficient film strength and wear protection for high‑pressure pumps. The standard is targeted at Mazda diesel powerplants such as the 2.2 L SkyActiv‑D, 3.0 L Duratorq‑D and the new 2.5 L turbo‑diesels, as well as gasoline engines with direct injection that use GPF, considered as DPF/FAP.
