JASO ATF M-III

JASO ATF M‑III is a Japanese technical standard that defines the requirements for automatic transmission fluids, including their viscosity at various temperatures, resistance to oxidation, wear resistance and stability under high loads. The specification provides optimized friction properties that ensure smooth gear shifts, minimal noise and the absence of “shocks” in automatic and continuously variable transmissions, including CVT in motorcycles, scooters and passenger cars of Japanese brands. Fluid that meets JASO ATF M‑III is suitable for transmissions with torque converters and dry/wet clutch elements, as well as for hybrid systems where high thermal stability and oxidation protection are important. Although the standard does not directly address DPF or catalyst systems, its formula is compatible with modern catalytic blocks commonly used in Japanese engines. XENUM products bearing the JASO ATF M‑III mark provide reliable protection and durability for the transmission, meeting the requirements of both new and updated models that previously operated under JASO ATF M‑II.
